SignVideo demonstrates the importance of security and environmental protection for VRS providers
SignVideo, the leading UK provider of British Sign Language instant video interpreting services, is proud to announce it has been immediately re-accredited for two major ISO quality assurance disciplines – ISO14001 focusing on Environmental Management and ISO27001 focusing on Information Security. Both of these major accreditations are essential for the SignVideo service to run as securely as possible, whilst trying to ensure a strict environmental policy. The British Assessment Bureau awarded the re-accreditations with no major non-conformities identified.
ISO27001 is a set of guidelines that organisations follow to ensure the management of information is secure and that any risk is minimised. SignVideo is strongly committed to ensuring the highest security levels for its customers, as due to the nature of BSL video interpretation, the contact centre is often dealing with highly confidential information.
Jeff McWhinney, Chairman and Founder of SignVideo explains, “We are fully committed to providing the highest levels of security for our customers – both business and consumer. Our callers need to know they can trust us to impart confidential information accurately and securely. Without this trust, we would not be the leading Video Relay Services provider in the UK with big brands such as Allianz, Direct Line, Santander and Sainsbury’s using us.”
Mark Hudson, Managing Director says, “We implement a lot of policies in-house to ensure we conform to these essential ISO standards and in an unregulated market, to also set the benchmark for standards and quality across the industry.”
SignVideo is also accredited for ISO9001 which is focused on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction by continually monitoring and managing the quality of an organisation.
