The Role:

The HR Manager is a player/manager role, which will contribute an elevated level of generalist knowledge and skill in human resources to managers and employees in support of the business and human resource objectives. The HR Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working with business leaders to provide the highest level of service to all client groups. This position supports the deployment of HR strategies, including but not limited to staffing, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, career progression, recognition, and total compensation. The role will also include HR administrative work.

The HR Manager will manage and continue to develop our new HR department by working closely with our HR Officer. Both the HR Manager and the HR Officer will work closely together on projects, organisational changes, and other HR related activities. This is a full-time role with the salary offer from £35,000+.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the deployment of key communications, ownership of issues, policy changes, etc. including employee relations, performance management and total compensation
  • Provides guidance to business leaders on employee relations and HR specific questions/issues
  • Ensures the deployment of HR strategies within the various business units, including but not limited to staffing, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, career progression, recognition, and total compensation
  • Assists with employee relations issues to include counselling management, conducting investigations, consulting with in- house legal, and conducting company disciplinary hearings
  • Creates and evaluates reports and metrics as needed to insure continual improvement and department efficiency
  • Updating of the company staff handbook
  • Partners with HR Team to develop and upskill
  • Develops, implements, and actively participates in employee engagement activities
  • Partners with appropriate HR teams to develop and conduct Human Resources training for managers and employees
  • Supporting improvement to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
  • Carry out administrative work: Onboarding, Background Checks, HR Metrics and so on
  • Experience of supporting a company with operations in various EU Locations
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Additional info:

Your Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and five + years human resources experience
  • Experience with various HRIS and recruiting platforms preferred


Other General Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods of time
  • Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments
  • Some travel is required
